Ranger Kidwell-Ross, our webmaster and Editor of WorldSweeper.com, has made trips to Asia, Australia and Europe to provide news of how pavement sweeping is done in some of the countries around the world. The Asia portion of this travelogue won an APEX Award of Excellence in Online Journalism for 2002, while the European travelogue won an Apex Grand Award for 2004.

Italy's TSM Offers Zero Emissions Electric and Autonomous Follow SweepersTSM produces small, walk-behind sweepers made in the recognition that municipalities around the world are placing increasing emphasis on reducing pollution of the environment. This includes the CO2 emissions by vehicles, which is why the company's product line are all electric-driven. Perhaps the most interesting feature, however, is that one of TSM's sweeper models – the Ariamatic 240 with the 'FOLLOW ME' system – makes the claim to be the first 'autonomously driven' sweeper in the worldwide marketplace.

Italian Municipality's Vehicle Restoration Museum InfoAs first reported in 2014 (see link below), Italy's "Historic garage of the municipal warehouses of Montecchio Maggiore" ("Garage storico Magazzini comunali di Montecchio Maggiore") is a museum that contains restored vehicles and work tools most used by the municipality in the last four decades, including aa restored Mobil 2TE3 sweeper. This update offers links to the Museums YouTube channel and website, as well as a PDF file that is an English language brochure about the project.

Italy's Comac 'Twin Action' Sweeper Offers Waterless Air and Broom SweepingThe Comac CS140 sweeper was developed to clean urban and industrial areas in a unique fashion from most all other types of sweepers.
