Current models predict that, even with the extensive conservation efforts currently underway, the city's 'Day Zero' will be between August and September of 2018. That's when the city's dam levels are predicted to reach 13.5% and Phase 2 of the City's disaster plan will kick in. In the meantime, the city's streets – which are hugely impacted by both sand and debris – must be swept.
