Sweeping Industry Experience Profile of Roger Sutherland
Roger Sutherland, PE, is a senior water resources engineer with 47 years of professional engineering experience in watershed/stormwater management planning, water quality planning and BMP design.
Roger Sutherland is a recognized international expert in urban stormwater load modelling and the use of street sweeping, catchbasin cleaning and end of the pipe treatment practices needed to remove pollutants from urban runoff. He is the principal author of a state-of-the-art urban stormwater quality modelling package called SIMPTM which has been used on numerous projects.
Roger has presented at conferences and short courses on the topics of urban hydrology, hydraulics, and water quality well over one hundred times since 1975. He has lectured seventeen times from 1990 through 2003 as a faculty member at a BMP short course sponsored by the University of Wisconsin. He has presented two webinars through Forester University discussing both street sweeping and street dirt and was chosen as a presenter at StormCon 2020.

Sweeping Industry Experience Profile of Ranger Kidwell-Ross
Ranger Kidwell-Ross, M.A., is the world's most published author on the topic of power sweeping.
In 1987 he produced for sweeper manufacturer, Schwarze Industries, the first scheduled newsletter for sweeping contractors, the "Supervac Quarterly." Then, in the early 1990s he founded the first sweeping industry magazine, "American Sweeper."
Today he owns and is Editor of Earth's Largest Power Sweeping Resourcesm, WorldSweeper.com. He is also Executive Director of the World Sweeping Association (www.worldsweepingpros.org), which he founded in 2013. Ranger was the first person from the power sweeping industry to be recipient of the Alan Curtis Industry Service Award as well as the first to be inducted into the PAVEMENT Hall of Fame.
Since 2005 Ranger has conducted over 100 audio podcasts with sweeping contractors, has published more than 150 industry-wide e-newsletters and written over 150 "WSA Member Updates" to World Sweeping Association members. His work on sweeping-related projects have garnered 28 national APEX Awards for Publication Excellence, including one for his industry e-newsletter every year since 2013.
