Scarab Sweepers Sold Throughout Much of the Rest of the World... Scarab does not offer the following models in the U.S. market; however, the company does offer these models in Europe and in a variety of other countries around the world. The Scarab model M6 may be mounted onto nearly any chassis between 15 and 18 tons and offers a hopper capacity of 8.3 cubic yards. Payload typically runs from 9900 to nearly 21,000 lbs! That combination makes the Maven 65 the most competent 8.5 cubic yard, twin-engine sweeper on the market. The M6 is powered by a Cummins Stage IIIB engine and the sweeper has a typical payload of up to nearly 20,000 lbs. The rugged construction, easy maintenance schedule and a carefully selected range of options ensure the M6 delivers outstanding performance in municipal and heavy-duty contractor applications. Scarab can justifiably claim to be the pioneer of the truck-mounted sweeper powered from a single engine. Operating the whole machine from the engine of the truck chassis provides many advantages, including reduced fuel consumption, decreased noise and engine pollution, less weight, greater payload and reduced maintenance. Scarab's Merlin 55 model is an air sweeper powerhouse with a hopper capacity of 7.2 cubic yards. The Merlin 55 offers a range of powerful sweeping options, such as dual-sweep and high-pressure water, as well as a 238-gallon water tank – without compromising the weight or performance of the machine. The Scarab-designed hydrostatic gearbox is installed in the chassis driveline and allows the sweeping components to be powered directly from the chassis engine. The machine also offers a range of operator benefits with its simple joystick control for Forward and Reverse, allowing single-pedal control which reduces fatigue and enables the driver to fully concentrate on sweeping. The Merlin 62 is a single-engine machine that may be mounted onto chassis from 10-to-16 tons, with a hopper capacity of 8.1 cubic yards. Water tank capacity is available from 330 to 475 gallons and typical payload capacity runs from 11,000 to 13,200 lbs. The Merlin 62's innovative single-engine hydrostatic system combines with our intuitive CANbus control system to offer users unrivaled control of their sweeper operation – the sweeper allows the operator to control a constant sweeping speed from zero up to 20mph whilst the chassis engine runs at an optimal 1200rpm. This solution allows the Merlin 62 to deliver low fuel consumption and low emissions whilst still supplying powerful and reliable suction performance. Scarab's Magnum 72 may be mounted onto chassis between 15 and 18 tons and offers a hopper capacity of 9.4 cubic yards. Available in both Hydrostatic and Unidrive configurations, the Magnum 72 is capable of delivering powerful results in municipal, construction and road maintenance settings. For the most demanding of heavy-duty applications, Scarab's optional high-speed fan solution takes the Magnum 72's performance to the next level. Scarab's even larger Magnum 82 is mounted onto 18+ ton chassis and has a hopper that holds 10.7 cubic yards of debris with a typical payload of over 19,000 lbs. What’s more, Scarab’s innovative single-engine system and intuitive CANbus control and diagnostic system make the Magnum 82 one of Scarab's most versatile machines with exceptional suction power, excellent endurance and a host of options to suit specialized requirements.
