Tenax Offers Two Models Suitable for Bike Lane Sweeping
Tenax International is an Italian company that bills itself as the "Top global manufacturer of 100% electric street sweepers and street washers.
Tenax's SmartWind electric line are ride-on street and sidewalk sweepers the company bills as "the most compact high dump ride on street and sidewalk sweeper."
SmartWind machines are equipped with an innovative "steer by wire" motion system controlled by a joystick, which makes it both safe and maneuverable, it is the ideal solution for cleaning small and medium sized areas, both indoors and outdoors. SmartWind machines have a mechanical suction waste collection system. Waste collected by the counter rotating brushes located in front of the front axis is conveyed by a central cylindrical, mobile and self-regulating brush. The panel filter available in different versions, including Polyester and certified HEPA, guarantees 99% filtration and traps fine dust particles up to PM 2.5. It also has a suction hose which has a 4.72 inch diameter, which can be used for all of those hard-to-reach areas. The street and sidewalk sweeper ensures top-notch performance during the work phase by adapting to any type of surface thanks to the self-balancing capabilities of every component.
Tenax calls its MaxWind model "the first zero CO2 emission sidewalk sweeper in the world which is 100% run and operated by 24-volt electricity."
Sweeping width on the MaxWind can range from 49 to 51 inches. The machine can be either a walk behind sweeper or outfitted with a surrey-type seat. The waste container may be specified from a 29 to 39 gallon capacity. Like the SmartWind sweepers, batteries may be specified as lithium, AGM or lead acid, with sweeping times varying from 8 to 10 hours depending upon which are used. The sweepers are outfitted with a water tank sized from 5.8 to 9.7 gallon capacity. The pickup system mirrors that of the SmartWind machines, as outlined above. The MaxWind sidewalk sweeper is equipped with an ergonomic and intuitive control panel which uses an adjustable motion system to guarantee extreme operator comfort and a unique driving experience. It may be used by an operator in either walk behind or ride on mode, as required. The single-wheel seat and the deluxe seat, both ergonomic, enable the operator to use the machine in seated position, guaranteeing the utmost comfort and safety for the operator while working as well as while moving from place-to-place. It operates on a low voltage system of 24 volts, with the customer's choice of lithium, AGM or lead acid batteries. Depending on the type of battery used, the runtime varies from 8 to 10 hours, so the SmartWind is capable of covering an entire shift.
