Pelican Broom Speed

Postby Mann » Wed May 27, 2009 12:35 am

Can anyone tell me what the Main broom speed should be on a '97 Pelican P with engine at 1800 rpm. Broom has suddenly slowed down and wondering if its a motor problem. About 2300 sweeping hours on machine.
Thanks, Brock

Mann,
Looks like you may be the expert on the "P" series so far.
I would think it should be someware around the same as the "S" give or take a few RPM. As long as it keeps spinning under a load enough to flick the dirt onto the convaier and do the job. Have you noticed if it is getting warm/hot when run hard?
I by all means don't know the exact answer you are looking for and do not have access to a "P" series machine but if I did I would try to come up with a compairason for you.
You could give Mr. Gills an e-mail and see if he can find out for you.
