New Pelicans

Postby sweepnict » Tue Jul 22, 2008 11:00 am

Hello was curious if any new of or has had problems with their drag shoes bouncing while driving down thw road no matter how you have the spring adjusted and also if anyone has heard of or have problems with gutter brooms not going down correctly no matter how you have the switch you have to step on the gutter broom to get it to go down but if you back up the brooms raises up like it should but does not go back down unless you step on it. I have also heard of the hoppers shifting and bending metal...Was curious if this is just something with the new sweepers? Thanks.

First welcome aboard.

This is the first I have heard of any feed back on the new Pelican.

You might try e-mailing Brian Giles. you can get his e-mail from the first thread under Elgin.

Please keep us informed on the outcome.

I would love to have one for a week to try. Do you know anyone that has one?

We currently have 2 in our fleet of sweepers. 2 NP Pelicans, 4 older version Pelicans, and 1 Eagle. We have had in the past a Geo Vac, and have also ran Johnstons.
