Re: Introduce your self
Hello all,
My name is Jerry and I live in a small town in Arizona, I previously ran a small striping business for like 2 years but I quit for the last 7 months to try something else that didn't pan out, so I am now looking to get back into the business of parking lot maintenance.
Now I am here to learn everything I can about sweeping parking lots so I can add it to the list of services I provide.

Hello all!
This is Smith Equipment's first time on World Sweeper.com. We found this site during some of our search engine optimization research and we've liked the wide variety of information and fortes that are explained!
Smith Equipment is a industry leading manufacturer of sweeper brushes and attachments in the southeast. We've been in business since 1965 and invented the Challenger 1 front-mounted sweeper attachment. Our real claim to fame was the Challenger's quick change system. It can complete changeovers in less than 2 minutes with 1 man and no tools.
Oh well, enough of the sales pitch! We're happy to be here and hopefully you'll see us around on the forums often. We're also very active on the web and social media. Feel free to see our new website at http://www.smith-equipment.com .
Thanks again for the warm welcome and we look forward to seeing you on the sweeping path.

Re: Introduce your self
Hello Dwan Hall . I am Dario Manti, Sales Manager with Sweeprite.
Yes! Sweeprite is back!
I thank Ranger for the really nice article he wrote about our return.
Sweeprite's manufacturing facility is located Breslau, Ontario, a small farming community just outside of Toronto, Canada. We continue to support all of the Sweeprite, Python and Superior Roads legacy fleet of sweepers in service across North America.
Our research and development group continues to be headed by Sweeprite founding President, Mr. Les Hulicsko. Les is a brilliant engineer and he also happens to be the 2015 recipient of the Worlds Sweeping Associations's "Award of Excellence in Power Sweeping". We are confident that Les has a few more power sweeping tricks up his sleeve. He was last seen tinkering around the Sweeprite "Skunkworks" with high velocity, "vacuum" sweeper designs.

Re: Introduce your self
Cool May we get some incite on this new project? Maybe a pic. when no one is looking just to keep us all in suspense.
Could it be a turbine powered fan? maybe with a lazier field in the pickup tube to vaporizer anything that passes through. Just think a sweeper that does not need to hold or collect material, never needing a dump site, nor having to be cleaned at the end of every day.
Just dreaming

Hello Dwan,
Lasers ....... Hmmmmmmm What a brilliant idea!!!
Sweeprite's parent company Merit Manufacturing owns 5 laser cutting machines. Maybe we could borrow a 4K laser and mount it on an Isuzu chassis.
We'll have to create a work around all for all those annoying trash burning regulations.
I would love to share more information about Les Hulicsko's new project but, I have been sworn to secrecy. I'm not 100% sure how this new sweeper works but, I do know there were some early concerns about sucking up illegally parked Smart Cars and the occasional neighborhood cat.
Canada is a great place for innovation in the road maintenance industries. We have one service provider in the Niagara region who strapped a jet engine to a truck chassis!!!! No! It was not an attempt to win a posthumous "Darwin Award". The super hot air from the jet's exhaust is used to defrost road surfaces and bridge drains during cold winter weather.
True genius can be found everywhere.

Re: Introduce your self
Like the jets used to dry NASCAR tracks after a rain. I would like to try one to melt snow but the fuel would be a killer.
Here we don;t try to melt the snow/ice we just dump tons of sand on it till spring, that gives me something to do in the spring then summer I get to repaint line that were scraped and sanded away during the winter. During the fall I wash my sweepings (sand and P-rock) so I can put it down again in the winter. I sweep up about 10,000 ton a year then recycle it for next year adding a little as needed.
Hope your new project works out. Please keep us informed.
