Air Sweeping Bidding

Postby Patriot » Thu Apr 27, 2006 11:46 am

Is there a rule of thumb going in that if there are 550 parking spaces with 40 islands and 33 corners, approximately how long it would take to sweep 3 times per week that particular lot with a standard pickup truck sized air sweeper?

Thanks.

Bidding on sweeping services isn't that simple, you have many variables that must be considered when bidding on sweeping at a retail / industrial location.

-Type of landscaping, and the contractor that is servicing the account. Lots of trees etc ? Does the crew clean up after each service or leave it for the sweeper contractor?
- Type of tenants that are in the center. What type of customers will this center draw in?
- Location! Location! Location! What part of town is the center located in?
- Out Parcels - Are there any fast food stores on the out parcels? This will add to the amount of debris that is left on the lot.
- All islands and coners will have to blown in order to provide the image of a proffesionlly cleaned parking lot, along with the sidewalks and the rear of the center.

The only rule of thumb is time is money! Make sure you charge according to the conditions of the center, not the size of lot.
