Re: Air Sweepers Costs

Yup :) Welcome to the forum black-cap. Some cities have done that. But .... the competition is so fierce, that the private market often doesn't end up being very profitable in city municipal sweeping. Invariably, the companies to get awarded the bid, will "fly through" as fast as possible, to stay w...

Re: Business Value

The usual method for evaluating business sales are: 1 yrs. gross billables (A/R's) . Then from there you can add or subtract for various variables, like equipment, debts, real estate as part of the deal, etc....

Here's a diagnostic tip for skips & stripes:

For those of you with mechanical broom sweepers, here's a diagnostic tip: If you are seeing skips in low spots, and stripes where dirt is trying to escape along the skids/broom edge. For starters some definitions: By "low spot", I'm not talking about a TRULY "low" spot. Ie.: So low that it's simply ...

Re: Large Debris Removal

thanx for the link! However, I can imagine some types of debri encountered , that would even foil that. You know, like entire fenders. Or a pallet, christmas tree, etc.... Seems to me that the best method is a bucket loader or skiploader to just drop his bucket, and whiz along the edge there. Grante...

Sorry, I think you have the wrong internet forum. This is for street sweepers, not carpet sweepers. :)

Re: Athey Mobils demise :(

As long as there are parts that one can't make them self I feel they will be around for another decade or two........... It's already, even now, getting harder to find parts for them. For example, recently we bought an elevator floor for one of our M9's. That's the generation that came before Top-g...

Athey Mobils demise :(

The Last Athey Mobils to roll off the assembly line was either 2000, or 2001, right? What a drag :( Because they were far superior than some of the other junk being manufactured in the 1980s, 90's, etc... And that was probably the reason for their demise. Was that in order to make a high quality pro...

Re: sweeping music?

Seems to me that the sweepers are too noisy to enjoy music that much. And if you got it up loud enough (with great stereo system, sound, etc...) that then you'd risk not being able to hear idiosyncracies of the sweeper. Ie.: elevator jams, funny noises, etc...

Is the tymco still for sale? Kenny 561-818-4700 The ad was from last year, so .... odds are, the original poster isn't checking back to read this now. You can click on their name though, and that will bring up options to email the user, or send a P.M., etc.... Choose those options, so that the guy ...

Re: Mobil T3 Bottom Dump Door Won't Open

Mike, the "binding" feel, and the fact you see it try to grunt 1/2" movement, tells me that your ram is working, and has sufficient power. OK: regarding the 1/2" movement: did you do as I suggested and have a 2nd person operate it, while you crouch down low and observe? When you do that, make mental...
