What coverage might be recommended for a startup contractor?

We received the question from a contractor about what is a good 'starter coverage' when getting into the business? What are people's ideas on this?

The only routing and scheduling option I'm aware of is that offered by CLIP. I know MetroSweep, a large Michigan contractor, was coming out with a version but didn't see enough demand to launch it.
