Re: Misc sweeper parts and accesories companies
I tried to order from then but freight killed the deal. Still could not afford it if the brooms were free. Freight was the killer.

Re: Elgin NP Street Sweeper
Thanks for clearing that up. I also would like to know what everyone thinks of the newer Pelicans. both the "P" series and the "S" series. If they are anything like the older Pelicans I think they would be a good machine. Service would be an important issue along with reliability.

Re: Pelican Broom Speed
Mann, Looks like you may be the expert on the "P" series so far. I would think it should be someware around the same as the "S" give or take a few RPM. As long as it keeps spinning under a load enough to flick the dirt onto the convaier and do the job. Have you noticed if it is getting warm/hot when...

Re: Looking for Athey Mobil Sweeper parts
Thank you for your reply, I will add you to my list of suppliers for the Mobil sweepers. It is great to find another co. that supports the Athey/Mobil line as it was a very good sweeper and a shame the line was dropped. There are a lot of units out there they still need parts now and in the future.

Re: Fees To Charge for Lots
Depends on how dirty it is, how often you will have to do it? I do a 5 acre lot for $2000 for the first time cleanup each year, 1 visit. Takes around 18 hours to complete. The rest of the year I do the same lot 3 times a week for the same $2000 per month and it takes about 1 hour to do. That does no...

Re: Wal-Mart?
I have heard pricing anyware from $25 per visit to $375.00 per visit. a lot depends on the area you live in and your competition. Also on what you offer for your service. (blowing sidewalks, emptying trash, pickup litter on green areas etc.) along with time spent on the job, number of times a week y...

Re: New forum
Joystick works fine after you get use to it, but it does take some getting use to. I am under the understanding Victory is producing one now without the joy stick if you are interested. I think I have only 50 or 60 hours on the machine so far and I still have to think through each step before adjust...

gilly, I have found that National service providers (NSP) like the one that has contacted you have a very strict contract and take a very long time to pay. usually they won't pay till they get paid plus 30 days so you may be out money for work preformed for 90 days or better. Make sure their license...

We do about the same but we just list anything we find as a line item on the monthly invoice. I have always thought a fax report once a week or more often if needed would be a great idea. A standard form would be nice. it could also offer additional advertising if you do other work that they may nee...
