I have been in the sweeping business for over 25 years and am impressed with the new electric powered motors now offered for sweeping trucks, however, the price is too high for me to consider this option. Yes it will pick up mud and contain it. The hopper is water tight up till about 2 1/2 feet, after that the water could splash out over the main broom if you stop short. If the broom is spinning then it will just keep throwing the mud back in the hopper. The sweepster tp60 we have has almost zero rus...

Thank you Rich, I have never heard of this method and we will try it on the next sweeper to get a fan replaced. The current fan we are working on was just removed by cutting, what a crazy way to remove a fan! We cursed the fan for hours. Thanks again.

Does anyone have any good ideas on removing a fan which in 'frozen' to a engine crankshaft? We have a 7 ton hydraulic puller which snapped one of the jaws extension arms. The split-taper bushing has two holes where you screw in 5/16 bolts that are supposed to 'push' the bushing off crankshaft - thes...

I think a clean air blower should be mounted on every parking lot sweeper, we use the schwarze AA-tach blower. It can easily blow sand, rocks away from curb and at most shopping centers we do not even have to get out to blow the sidewalks because this great tool will reach the debris within 5 feet o...
