In 2010 WorldSweeper.com Editor Wins National APEX Awards of Excellence for 15th Consecutive Year!

We're pleased to report that one of the two awards we received in mid-2010 (for projects done in 2009) was for the 'quality, design and content' of this WorldSweeper.com website.

In addition, we won an APEX for our first-ever April Fools' Day news alert that advised readers that a street sweeper would be going into space.

For 2010, a total of 3,711 entries were evaluated, with 1,132 of those winning an APEX Award of Excellence in one of 127 categories. Other APEX Award winners for 2010 included:

  • Merrill Lynch
  • Bank of America
  • Seattle City Light
  • National Association of REALTORS
  • American Society for Engineering Education
  • The Walt Disney Company

Our WorldSweeper.com editor, Ranger Kidwell-Ross, has won an APEX Award of Excellence for one or more of his projects for a record-setting 15 years in a row. In the history of this national competition, no other individual or organization in the U.S. has ever won an APEX that many years in a row.

Last year WorldSweeper.com's Team also won two APEX Awards. One of our APEX Awards for 2009 was for the outstanding quality, content and design of the WorldSweeper.com website. The the other was for a website the WorldSweeper.com Team designed and wrote for Commercial Power Sweeping, Inc.

The previous year we also won two APEX Awards. One of our APEX Awards for 2008 was for the quality of the WorldSweeper.com website. The other Apex Award was for the Christmas Season ad you see above, which was produced for client, Sweeper Parts Online. This full page advertisement appeared in SweeperMarket Magazine in December of 2007.

Through the years, the majority of Ranger's yearly awards were for his American Sweeper magazine and companion website, AmericanSweeper.com, both of which were historically sponsored by the Schwarze family, founders of Schwarze Industries, Inc. (and now owners of Victory Sweepers, Inc.)

Since his first award nomination, in 1994, Ranger won a total of 13 individual Awards for these two projects. Schwarze sponsorship for both AmericanSweeper.com and American Sweeper magazine was discontinued at the end 2004 by Schwarze Industries Inc. and its parent company, The Alamo Group.

In addition, through the years Ranger has also won APEX Awards for other sweeping-related projects, including:

In 2004, Ranger was awarded the competition's prestigious Grand Award for his online travelogue Sweeping Around the World, Europe. The travelogue was one of only 100 Grand Award-winning projects selected by contest editors, out of a total of over 6,500 contest entries.

APEX contest judges called Ranger's online sweeping travelogue "A journey, a quest, an informed and educational look at how it's done in Europe. Compellingly-written, interesting features make superb stories, marvelously told by a first-rate story teller."

We are very proud of the award-winning tradition of excellence that has now been reproduced at the WorldSweeper.com website. Many thanks to all those in the power sweeping industry who are participating as both sponsors and visitors.
